Rob Reiner, the legendary filmmaker, and his wife, Michele Reiner, were reportedly stabbed to death at their Los Angeles residence. As fans, well-wishers, and Hollywood mourned the loss, Jordan Belfort (aka the Wolf of Wall Street) shared a video of Reiner on his social media account, wishing for his peace.

Reiner played the role of Max in Martin Scorsese’s film, which is inspired by Belfort’s biography. The stocker-turned-financial criminal posted the video by the late actor, where he addressed Max Belfort before he died 6 years ago. “Hey, Mr. Belfort. It’s Rob Reiner, I played you in the movie. It was a privilege,” Reiner said in the 2019 video. “Got to know your son and I know he’s with you now and everybody that you love is with you now,” he said, before adding, “And I just wanted to say hi, and you gave me a great thrill to be able to play you in the film.

” Belfort captioned the post, “Rob Reiner sent this to my father on his death bed. Truly a class act. RIP🙏.”
