A 23-year-old rowdy sheeter, Syed Salman, was sent to jail for violating a good behaviour bond imposed by a Special Executive Magistrate after he was found to have continued engaging in criminal activities despite being under a one-year bind-over order.
Syed Salman, a resident of Aliabad Market, had earlier executed a bond of ₹1 lakh as surety under Section 126 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) to maintain good behaviour for a year. However, police found that he violated the conditions by involving himself in two fresh criminal cases.
Following a report submitted by the police, the Special Executive Magistrate, Hyderabad District, after due inquiry, ruled that Salman had breached the bond and ordered his imprisonment for three months on October 27. He has since been lodged in Chanchalguda Jail.
The action was executed by the staff of Chatrinaka Police under the supervision of Inspector K. N. Prasad Varma. DCP (South Zone) Sneha Mehra commended the team’s efforts and warned that anyone who violates court-imposed bonds or continues criminal behaviour would face strict legal consequences, including forfeiture of bonds and imprisonment.
She added that surveillance on rowdy sheeters and habitual offenders remains tight to maintain peace and public safety in South Zone limits.
