Rs 70k stolen from shop in Bokaro as trader loses consciousness

Bokaro: Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 70,000 cash from a shopkeeper hardware shop in Bokaro’s Petarwar area on Sunday. A formal FIR was lodged by one Naresh Jain, who was sitting in his brother’s shop then, on Monday.

According to police, two men on a motorcycle posing as customers reached the shop and got into conversation with Jain. During the conversation, Jain reportedly lost consciousness or awareness of his surroundings. When he regained his senses, the two men had already fled with the cash. Jain told the police, “I only remember that one of them came inside and started talking to me. After that, everything went blank. When I regained my senses, the money was gone.” Raju Kumar Munda, the officer in-charge of Petarwar police station, said, “CCTV footage was examined, but their faces were unclear.”
