Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday that some people have misconceptions about the organisation because of misleading campaigns.
Speaking at a program at the Science City auditorium during the RSS centenary celebrations, Bhagwat said the Sangh has no enemies, but there are some people whose personal interests would be affected if the organisation grows.
He said everyone has the right to form an opinion about the RSS, but it should be based on facts and not on stories or second-hand information.
Bhagwat explained that lectures and interaction sessions have been organised in four cities to show people the reality. He also said that the RSS does not have any political agenda and works for the welfare and protection of Hindu society.
Bhagwat added that India will become a ‘Vishwaguru’ again, and it is the Sangh’s duty to prepare society for this. The RSS is holding similar sessions in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru as part of its centenary celebrations.
