The news was revealed on Monday, December 15, when The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the “Goodies” singer will serve as the main performer. Ciara embraced the moment in a statement that spoke directly to the heart of the platform. “There’s nothing like performing for a community that loves movement, music, and expression as much as I do,” Ciara said. “The TikTok platform plays a significant role in entertainment.
It is one of the most influential platforms globally. The TikTok Awards are all about celebrating that spirit, and I’m honored to hit the stage for first-ever show in the US.”She will not be the only familiar face in the room. The awards show will be hosted by La La Anthony and feature appearances from Paris Hilton, Bethenny Frankel, Micky Gordon, Josh Richards, and Jordan Chiles. Several popular TikTok creators, including REI AMI, Tan France, Tefi Pessoa, Justin Danger, Patrick Starrr, Carter Gregory, and Ashby Florence, are also set to present awards throughout the night.La La Anthony shared her excitement about hosting the historic event and the community behind it. “I’ve always loved how TikTok brings people together through stories, creativity, and a whole lot of joy," she said. "Hosting the first TikTok Awards in the US is truly special. I’m excited to celebrate the creators who inspire us, teach us, and make us laugh every single day.”The TikTok Awards will be livestreamed from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 18.
Fans can tune in on the TikTok app and Tubi, with the red carpet beginning at 5 p.m. and the ceremony starting at 6 p.m.The announcement also comes during a happy personal moment for Ciara. Just days earlier, she and husband Russell Wilson celebrated their daughter Amora Princess Wilson’s second birthday. “You bring us sunshine, happiness, and pure joy every day! We’re so excited you’re now the big 2! God is so good! Happy Birthday! We love you soooo much! 2 means Peace,” Ciara wrote. Wilson added, "Happy Birthday Amora!!! You bring such a light to our family," followed by, "Your personality shines and your giggles are so contagious.
