Salman Khan's 'Tere Naam' sequel in the works and to star a new lead pair - Reports

'Tere Naam' is considered a film in which Salman Khan delivered one of his best performances. The film was released in 2003, and speculations of its sequel have been doing rounds on the internet for quite some years.

As per the latest reports, a second installment is in the works, and the superstar has an idea about it.According to a Mid Day report, Salman Khan is aware that a sequel is happening; however, no official commitment has been made by the actor as of now. A source told the publication that the superstar has not been approached yet for the film. As per the report, the actor wants to know the script, the film's budget, the rights division, and other legal stuff for review before giving his nod to the project.

New lead pairing for the 'Tere Naam' sequel

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is currently focusing on the acquisition of the IP. According to the report, the producer wants to own it for "creative freedom." As per the report, the movie will be a "legacy revival."However, on the other hand, the source shared with the publication that a fresh lead pair might be cast as well. The person was quoted saying, "We will see a new lead pairing, depending on whether Salman takes on the original role or a newer avatar."
