Wake up early

You should wake up early in the morning and after taking bath, one must clean the home and puja room and light a diya after placing the idol of Saraswati Mata.


Wear Yellow Clothes

The day holds a great religious and spiritual significance and you must wear yellow color clothes while performing saraswati puja. Yellow color represents energy, positivity, and prosperity so one must wear yellow color clothes.

Perform Puja

Offer white or yellow saree, yellow akshat mixed with turmeric, five toots of turmeric, raw turmeric, kesar, boondi laddoo other yellow sweets, yellow and white flower. Present your books, instruments, pens, notebooks, religious books in front of Goddess Saraswati idol to seek the blessings.

Chant Mantras

Mantras that are associated with Goddess Saraswati should be chanted while performing puja. This will enhance your concentration power and it will activate your spiritual power. "Om Aim Saraswayeyei Namah" 108 times.


Start New Venture

This is believed to be auspicious to start new business venture, new job, reading, writing, studies, taking admission and learning new skills.
