School bus driver held in POCSO case in Annamayya district

A 30-year-old driver of a private school bus was arrested on charges of raping a 15-year-old girl studying in Class 8, at a village in Madanapalle mandal of Annamayya district on Monday.

The Madanapalle Taluq police said that the accussed, Narasimhulu, resorted to the crime at an isolated place when the girl was returning home. Acting on a complaint from the girl’s parents, the accused was taken into custody, and a POCSO case has been registered.

In another incident, a 12-year-old boy had allegedly committed a sexual assault on a six-year-old girl at a remote village in Tamballapalle mandal of Annamayya district on Monday. The parents lodged a complaint with the police, who are investigating the case.
