School Christmas vacations from December 24

The Kerala government has issued a circular that Christmas vacations for government and aided schools in the State will begin on December 24. The schools will reopen on January 5 after the vacations. The half-yearly examinations will conclude on December 23. The examinations were scheduled to be held from December 11 to 18 and the Christmas holidays were set to begin the next day, according to the academic calendar for 2025-26. The schools were to reopen on December 29. However, the examinations and vacation dates were rescheduled after the State Election Commission decided to conduct polling for local body elections on December 9 and 11.
