Spurs' crisis deepens with reports linking Dyche to a rescue role -- as they sit just above the relegation zone currently, with nine PL games left.

When a Premier League club is sinking fast, there’s a traditional solution many turn to: call Sean Dyche.

And according to latest reports, that might be exactly what Tottenham Hotspur are considering as their turbulent season continues to unravel.

The North London club are reportedly weighing up a move for recently dismissed Sean Dyche as a potential replacement for current boss Igor Tudor, who only recently took charge.

If true, it would mark another dramatic twist in what has already been a chaotic campaign for Spurs.

A Season Spiralling Out of Control

Calling Tottenham’s season disappointing might actually be putting it lightly.

The club began the campaign by parting ways with Thomas Frank after a disastrous start. Since then, things have hardly improved. Spurs currently sit 16th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone, with only nine games left to salvage their season.

To make matters worse, their struggles were laid bare again this week when they were walloped by Atletico Madrid: another crushing blow during Tudor’s short tenure.

With crucial fixtures against Liverpool FC and Nottingham Forest looming, Spurs suddenly find themselves staring down a situation that once seemed unthinkable: a genuine relegation battle.

Dyche Seen as a ‘Safe Pair of Hands’

According to a report from The Sun, Dyche has emerged as a “strong option" behind the scenes at Tottenham.

The former Burnley FC and Everton FC manager has built a reputation as a survival specialist — long admired for his Premier League experience, strong man-management and his ability to organise teams into stubborn, hard-to-beat units.

However, even if Spurs do make a move, the appointment would likely be temporary.

Reports suggest club officials are reluctant to appoint a long-term manager right now and would instead prefer another interim solution if Tudor departs.

A Potential Complication

There’s one small hitch in Tottenham’s rescue plan: Dyche himself.

According to SPORTbible, the 54-year-old is reportedly reluctant to accept a short-term role. There may also be complications surrounding his payout from relegation rivals Nottingham Forest following his recent departure.

For now, Tudor remains in charge and is expected to be on the touchline when Spurs face Liverpool this weekend.
