Seven drones handed to farmers in Konaseema

Minister for Labour Vasamsetti Subhash handed over seven drones to groups of farmers at Draksharamam in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. 

The drones, worth of ₹68 lakh, have been supplied under a subsidy offered by the Central government. Recently, the farmers were trained in drone operations. 

Addressing the gathering of farmers, Mr. Subhash said that the drones are equipped with thermal sensors to record moisture levels for better crop management. The drones are primarily intended for direct sowing, spraying of fertilizers and pesticides.
