Art patron, fashion collector, and reality TV personality Shalini Passi turned 49 recently, and she celebrated the milestone not with a lavish party, but with a spiritual retreat to the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh.

Known for her eclectic yet elegant style, Shalini marked the occasion with a traditional red saree look that perfectly captured the sanctity of the visit, while staying true to her personal aesthetic.

Sharing a serene photodump on Instagram, Shalini posted images of herself in a striking red saree adorned with golden crane and dove motifs, framed by the backdrop of the Tirumala Hills. “Taking blessings from Tirupati Balaji on my birthday, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Tirumala Hills ✨,” she wrote in the caption.

The saree’s golden border paired beautifully with a coordinated blouse, making the look festive yet reverent.

Red and gold are symbolic shades in Hindu culture, often worn during ceremonies to invoke blessings, and Shalini’s choice felt intentional and deeply rooted in tradition.This wasn’t her first spiritual visit to the temple. Shalini, who last shaved her head at Tirupati in 2018 as part of the temple’s sacred rituals, shared that her haircare is minimal due to her spiritual connection to it.

A rich pink potli bag with golden embroidery added a pop of contrast, while a heavy gold choker and matching jhumkas tied the look together.
