Veteran Malayalam actor Mukesh paid a heartfelt tribute to Shanawas, calling him someone who inspired many newcomers in the film industry. Mukesh shared a photo taken during Shanawas’ recent illness and wrote an emotional message “Shanawas was someone we looked up to with reverence and amazement during our early days in cinema.”“Back then, meeting him in Chennai was a moment of great pride for us,” Mukesh said. He also remembered that Shanawas was the son of the legendary actor Prem Nazir, which made him even more special.Mukesh mentioned that even when Shanawas was unwell and bedridden, he remained hopeful and talked about returning to acting. His sudden death, Mukesh said, was very painful and unexpected.Shanawas had been receiving treatment for kidney and heart problems for the past four years. His health worsened late Monday night, and though he was taken to the hospital, he could not survive.
