Shankranna Munavalli honoured in Hubballi on his 75th birthday

Director of KLE Society and former President of Karnatak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Shankranna Munavalli was warmly felicitated by Ministers and leaders from various political parties on his 75th birthday in Hubballi on Sunday.

Participating in the felicitation programme, Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi showered praises on Mr. Munavalli for his humility and said that he is a model for many.

Mr. Joshi said that Mr. Munavalli has contributed a great deal towards development of the region as KCCI president and also in different capacities during his long public life.

Chairman of Legislative Council Basavaraj Horatti spoke on Mr. Munavalli’s social service and how through KLE Society he has contributed towards the growth of education facilities in the region.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs H.K. Patil said that Mr. Munavalli never aspired for positions but continues to do his work because of which he has admirers across various political parties.

Chairman of KLE Society Prabhakar Kore termed Mr. Munavalli as the backbone of KLE Society.

MPs and former Chief Ministers Jagadish Shettar and Basavaraj Bommai, the former MP and businessman Vijay Sankeshwar, the former MLA Paranna Munavalli showered praises on Shankranna Munavalli for his work and threw light on various aspects of Munavalli’s life.

Pro Chancellor of KLETU Ashok Shettar made the introductory remarks. The felicitation programme was held in the presence of Sri Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Swami of Moorusavir Mutt. A host of leaders, including president of KLE Society Mahanthesh Koujalagi, MLAs Arvind Bellad, Basavaraj Rayaraddi, MLCs S.V. Sankanaur, and others were present.
