In a sharp internal criticism, Congress leader Udit Raj labeled party MP Shashi Tharoor as the “super spokesperson of the BJP," accusing him of consistently speaking in favor of Prime Minister Modi and the central government.

Following Operation Sindoor, the Indian government dispatched several multi-party parliamentary delegations to global capitals to garner support for its counter-terrorism stance, with one prominent delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor to explain India’s “precise and calibrated" response to cross-border terrorism.

Shashi Tharoor’s delegation, which includes MPs from various political parties including BJP, JMM, TDP, and Shiv Sena, has visited countries US, Guyana, and Panama, where they engaged with lawmakers, think tanks, media, and diaspora to present a united Indian front against terrorism and national security threats.

Slamming the senior party leader, Udit Raj said, “What the BJP leaders are not saying, speaking in favour of PM Modi and the government, Shashi Tharoor is doing. He also questioned Shashi Tharoor’s understanding of previous governments’ contributions and criticized the PM Modi-led central government for “taking credit for the Indian Armed Forces."
