Senior RJD stalwart Shivanand Tiwari has openly condemned Tejashwi Prasad Yadav for his lack of presence following the party's electoral setback. Tiwari has called on the Leader of Opposition to step back into the fray, engage directly with party members, and embark on a statewide journey to rejuvenate their spirits.
Patna: Senior RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari on Wednesday vehemently criticised the leader of opposition (LoP) in the state assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, for quietly “disappearing” from the scene after the party’s poll disaster in the recently held assembly elections.
He advised him to return to the ground without any further delay.“You are the recognised LoP, but you disappeared from the scene after the poll outcome when you needed to sit with your colleagues and provide them support so that their morale remains high... Lekin tumne to maidan hi chhod diya (But you fled from the scene),” Tiwari posted on social media on Wednesday.Asking Tejashwi to return to the ground, the veteran socialist leader advised him to make an extensive tour of the state, not as a leader but as a common party worker.
“Treat your workers as equals; don’t behave as a party boss. Only then the party’s future be saved. Remember, time waits for none,” Tiwari advised.Stating that victory and defeat are part of life, he asked Tejashwi not to lose patience, stating that he must know that the reins of the party are in his hands now and he would have been the chief minister had the opposition alliance emerged victorious. He also blamed former state president Jagadanand Singh and party MP Sanjay Yadav for giving Tejashwi wrong advice.
