Having found himself in increased controversy in the past year, the feud erupted after Musk himself stated support of the calls for the permanency of the ban of HasanAbi on the platform.

The drama, now blooming across the social media sphere, brings to light another culture-clash scenario between online creators, tech billionaires, and politically motivated audiences.

The Video That Set the Whole Thing on Fire

Drama began on September 12, 2025, when @iAnonPatriot on X posted a two-minute compilation of HasanAbi's past live streams, claiming in one of the clips that the 34-year-old encouraged "left-wingers and liberals" to go out and mobilize, which critics have termed a call for violence.

Two days later, on September 14, HasanAbi, whose real name is Hasan Piker, shot back on a livestream and on X.

He accused Musk of intentionally misrepresenting him with cherry-picked clips.Hasan claims that Musk is "the richest dude on the planet spends most of his time on his social media website fomenting white supremacist hatred- trying to spark race riots- while highlighting out of context clip compilations to imply a leftist twitch streamer should be deplatformed or worse.” He ends his rebuttal saying this is just "so dumb."

Musk versus Streamers?

The billionaire has seen time and again to criticize Twitch, TikTok, and other platforms for their moderation policies, often siding with those creators he deems unfairly silenced, while at other times calling out those he sees as dangerous. For HasanAbi, this episode is more than a personal affront. His comments start a broader concern that Musk's immense influence can serve to amplify misinformation and weaponize selective editing against political opponents. Twitch, up to this point, has not issued any statement concerning HasanAbi’s status on the platform.
