Panaji: Soon, citizens registering their sale deeds will be able to do so at any of the 12 sub-registrar offices in the state. The land registration process will not be restricted to the region where the land is located, chief minister Pramod Sawant said on Monday.
Sawant also said that the entire process of marriage and land registrations will be streamlined within the next 10 days, based on instructions given to officials on Monday.

“I held a meeting today as law minister with registrars, sub-registrars, and directors. There were various problems related to National Informatics Centre (NIC) and Info Tech Corporation of Goa (ITG), IT infrastructure related. People were facing problems, from marriage registrations to land registrations.
I have asked them to get all issues resolved. We are getting a new office in Mapusa. A discussion was held on this shifting.
I am sure you will see a difference in their working within the next 10 days,” said the CM.Their longstanding issues were resolved with NIC and ITG, he said. “I announced in the budget that registration will be possible from any registrar. For example, you can do registration for Pernem in Margao or Canacona registration can be done in Pernem. Within 10 days, this will be resolved and it will be made possible to carry out registration from anywhere in the state,” he said.
