A special programme will be launched soon across all revenue divisions in Annamayya district to effectively resolve long-pending land and revenue issues, said Collector Nishant Kumar. The Collector made the announcement at the District Development Review Committee (DDRC) meeting held, here on Tuesday.

Roads and Buildings (R&B) Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy and Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy chaired the meeting.

Minister Janardhan Reddy appreciated the Collector’s initiative, calling it a “citizen-focused and result-oriented step” towards resolving grassroot-level issues. He reiterated that the government’s priority was people’s welfare and development through effective governance. The Minister lauded the efforts of the officials for their proactive measures and urged them to use technology to ensure transparency and accountability in public service delivery.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy said that corrective steps were being taken to restore accuracy and public trust regarding the discrepancies in land records during the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) regime.

Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, meanwhile, said that strengthening the revenue administration would bring justice to farmers and improve the efficiency of welfare implementation. He observed that the new initiative would help the public to get their grievances resolved promptly.

Collector Nishant Kumar apprised the ministers on the preparedness of the district officials during the Cyclone Montha, irrigation schemes, and improvements in groundwater levels, particularly in the Rajampeta division.
