Speeding truck runs over food-delivery executive in Bengaluru

A 25-year-old food-delivery executive was killed when a speeding truck run over him after knocking down the scooter he was riding at Varthur Main Road on Tuesday night.

The deceased, identified as Burhanuddin Lashkar, was a native of Assam. He was on his way to deliver an order when the incident occurred. A severely injured Burhanuddin was shifted to the Vydehi Hospital, where he succumbed later.

The Whitefield Traffic Police rushed to the spot, arrested Md. Ilyas, the truck driver, and seized the truck for further investigation. He was booked for rash and negligent driving.
