Singer Lagnajita Chakraborty claimed she was heckled and physically assaulted during a bhajan performance at a private event in Kolkata on Saturday.
The incident sparked widespread outrage across West Bengal. According to reports, an attendee allegedly charged at her aggressively and attempted to hit her after the devotional performance.Lagnajita has reportedly filed a General Diary at the Bhagwanpur Police Station in Purba Medinipur. Expressing faith in the authorities, she said she hopes such an incident will not be repeated. The matter is currently under investigation.
