The SSLC examination commenced across Mysuru district on Wednesday under CCTV surveillance, with no reports of malpractice from any examination centre. The exams were conducted smoothly at 136 centres, including 43 in Mysuru city, with senior officials closely monitoring the proceedings.
A total of 39,349 students from 703 schools had registered for the examination in the district. The next paper is scheduled for March 23.
Of the registered candidates, 36,179 are regular students, 2,458 are repeaters, 728 are private candidates, and 133 are private repeaters. Mysuru North recorded the highest number of registered students at 5,772, while Periyapatna had the lowest at 2,961.
Deputy Director of Public Instruction Uday Kumar said the first day of the examination was conducted smoothly. He added that he visited four to five centres to inspect the arrangements and ensure everything was in order.
A control room has been set up at the Deputy Commissioner’s office to monitor the webcasting of examination proceedings.
Mandya
In Mandya, Deputy Commissioner Kumar visited a few examination centres and inspected the arrangements. He said all necessary steps had been taken to conduct the examination in a transparent manner, leaving no scope for malpractice.
