'SSMB29': Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra starrer set for massive digital reveal; grand event to stream live online - Report

'Baahubali' director SS Rajamouli is working with Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran on the upcoming jungle adventure thriller. The film is tentatively named 'SSMB29' and recent reports suggest a grand reveal for the film will be streamed online.

Promise made on Mahesh Babu's 50th birthday

Earlier, on Mahesh Babu's 50th birthday, SS Rajamouli and the makers teased the first look from the film. The poster, without revealing the actor's face, features a chest donning a brown vest coat with a pendant. Alongside it, the director also announced that the makers will be sharing updates of the film in November.

Grand reveal event to be streamed live

As per a Gulte report, the film will have a grand reveal event streamed live online, marking a first-of-its-kind move in Indian cinema.

The makers are planning an extravagant event at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, where the official title and first video glimpse of the film will be unveiled. The entire event will be livestreamed exclusively on JioHotstar. It is also suggested that the event will feature appearances by the main cast, Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran and director Rajamouli himself.The event will reportedly include live performances, an interactive audience experience and a preview of the film's concept.

Fan banter among the 'SSMB29' team

Recently, the main cast and the director gained buzz on the internet after they held a fun social media banter. It was started by Mahesh Babu, who reminded Rajamouli in early November 2025 that he had promised to share something about the film this month. The 'RRR' director humorously shared about slow progress, to which Mahesh teased the director about his "forever in making" style, referencing the epic scale and time taken, akin to the Mahabharata.Later, the banter also included the female lead, Priyanka Chopra, whom Mahesh Babu tagged and mentioned had been posting about Hyderabad since January. Priyanka promptly responded with witty remarks about leaking on-set stories. Then, Prithviraj, who is cast as the antagonist, joined in with humorous comments about hiding his filming schedule from his family.
