Stampede: Karnataka govt. increases ex gratia to kin of deceased to ₹25 lakh

The Karnataka government has increased compensation for the families of the deceased in the stampede at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to ₹25 lakh.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday ordered the compensation to be increased to ₹25 lakh, a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.

Earlier, the State government had announced an ex-gratia of ₹10 lakh.
