Kadapa MLA and Government Whip Reddeppagari Madhavi Reddy announced that steps will be initiated to rid the city of traffic menace and make roads safe for motorists as well as pedestrians.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the installation of traffic signals in the city with NCAP funds amounting to ₹1.13 crore here on Monday, she said the signals would be essential to regulate traffic in tune with the growing needs of the city.

“I hope the installation of these traffic signals will streamline traffic and help in achieving the State government’s objective of making roads a safer place,” she added.

Ms. Madhavi instructed the Kadapa Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner Manoj Reddy to expedite the project and bring the signals into use at the earliest.

Circle Inspector (Traffic) Javed and TDP’s city unit president Mansoor Ali Khan were also present.
