Union Minister for Coal and Mines and Secunderabad MP G. Kishan Reddy has urged the Congress leadership to clarify its stance on fulfilling the commitments made during the Assembly elections. “The TG Government is misleading people by introducing a new narrative through its Vision Document while earlier guarantees remain unaddressed,” he said.

In an open letter to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, a copy of which was released to the media, the BJP leader accused the party of being content with “self-congratulation” rather than demanding “accountability”. “Is the ruling Congress now abandoning the guarantees made during the elections? Has the 420 promises’ manifesto been thrown into the Musi River or quietly buried within the walls of Gandhi Bhavan? The people of Telangana deserve a clear and honest answer,” he demanded.

Pointing out that the Congress Government has completed two full years in office, Mr. Kishan Reddy questioned whether Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, or Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had reviewed the status of manifesto implementation. “Did you even raise this issue when Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met you recently?”he asked.

He also took exception to the ‘congratulations’ conveyed to Mr. Revanth Reddy on completing two years in power, saying it gave the impression that Mrs. Gandhi is unaware of the ground reality regarding the implementation of the six guarantees, or that no serious attempt has been made to assess whether the promises made to the people have been fulfilled.

Referring to the ‘Telangana Rising 2047 ‘ vision document and the party leadership’s appreciation of the Congress Government and the Chief Minister, the Minister urged the Congress Party leadership to clarify its position on guarantees promised to farmers, women, unemployed youth, students, Dalits, tribals, and Backward Classes.

“Before floating new visions, fantasies, and promises, the Congress government must first demonstrate its integrity by fulfilling the commitments already made to the people of Telangana as they are watching and waiting. This betrayal of public trust will not go unanswered. If the Congress Government continues to fail in delivering on its promises, people will deliver a fitting lesson,” he warned.
