Cultural Advisor to Andhra Pradesh Government, Chaganti Koteswara Rao, advised students not to get distracted while studying and focus completely on preparation to achieve success.

He was addressing students, parents and teachers during ‘Viluvala Vidya Sadassu’, a conference organised by District Education department, at Kasturba Kalakshetram in Nellore, on Thursday.

Responding to a question from a student, he said, “You cannot count the number of stones in a clear water pot when it is shaken. Similarly, you cannot focus on reading when your attention is diverted by mobile phone or anything else. If you pass sunlight through a convex lens, it converges into heat energy to ignite paper. That is how you should concentrate on the books without any distraction.”

Giving many such examples, Mr. Koteswara Rao also tried to imbibe patriotism, traditional, culture and moral values to the students during a 45-minute lecture on value-based education. After the lecture, the Education department officials felicitated him.

Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Himanshu Shukla said, “The State government has been seeking suitable suggestions and advice for the development of the school education in Andhra Pradesh. It is necessary to create awareness among students about Sanatana Dharma, respect for parents, teachers and moral values.”
