The Palnadu district police headquarters organised an Open House programme showcasing weapons, technical equipment, and tools used in maintaining law and order and crime investigation as part of the Police Martyrs’ Memorial Week–2025 celebrations, on Saturday.

The event was inaugurated by Palnadu Superintendent of Poilce (SP) B. Krishna Rao, who said that the initiative aimed to create awareness among students about policing methods and the technologies used for public safety. “It is heartening to see young students taking interest in understanding how police safeguard peace and security. I urge them to make the best use of this opportunity,” he said.

Mr. Krishna Rao explained that the open house was designed to demonstrate police efforts in crime prevention, investigation, and maintaining social harmony. He added that such exposure would motivate the youth to consider careers in the police and other national services.

Addressing the students, the SP emphasised the importance of respect towards women, responsible social media usage, observing traffic rules, and valuing animal service, citing the sacrifices of police dogs in duty.

Displays of arms, technical gear, band performances, and sniffer dog demonstrations captivated the students.
