Where there is Patrick Mahomes, there is Travis Kelce. Especially when it’s a birthday bash of the Chiefs’ star quarterback, a visit from his best buddy, a 35-year-old tight end, is all but a surprise.

But that doesn’t mean fans are not making a fuss about it. Kelce takes the internet to the storm with his mere presence but this time not for his celebrity lady luck by his side, but for his unique dressing sense. Yes, you heard it right.

Netizens make a monkey of Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce’s unconventional dress up

Patrick Mahomes turned 30th and had a ball with his family and friends but Travis, the guy who shared the field with the birthday boy was the real head-turner. Travis didn’t go for the typical party glam look. Rather he chose to flaunt a white button-down shirt, a tie and dark, bold navy dress shorts paired with shiny black shoes. People find it uncanny given all other guests were wrapped into full-fledged cloths. Taylor Swift dolled her up with a drop dead gorgeous black-and-ivory plaid Simkhai coord set.Fans started to slam the TE’s fashion sense on X. Although it looked like Travis was the one code broker Mr. cool in the entire group, his shorts don’t really please the fans’ eyes. ‘Travis in his shorts’ has quickly become a laughingstock on the internet with a fan posting, "Kelce is such a geek.” Another user carried the laughter loud saying, “Tay looks so gorgeous & then there's Travis dressed like a giant toddle.” “What is Trav wearing,” another fan vented out frustration under the hilarious comment section.

That’s okay. You might troll Travis as much as you want for not maintaining a proper dress code in a birthday party, but you may never unsee his sense of empathy for the teammates reflected through his free-4 shirt.

Travis Kelce’s pre-game gesture earned rave reviews

The Kansas City Chiefs is already drawing backlash for dropping to 0-2 with Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. But what hits them the more is Travis and Patrick donning the “Free 4” shirts in support of suspended wide receiver Rashee Rice.

Rice, 25, is currently serving his suspension with the charges of a reckless car crash this off season.Supporting an accused of a highway crash might look like a moral irresponsibility for a player like Travis but if you look otherwise, it speaks loud of his sense of fraternity for the team, for its players as a whole. Social media might again put him into the gunpoint, but coach Andy Reid clearly sees the point. “I know these guys love Rashee and they feel for him sitting out here,” Reid told reporters. “It’s nothing more than that. They love the kid and want him to feel like he’s still part of this team.” However, now, if the Chiefs can bounce back against the Giants, it might be a good excuse for the fans to skip to the good part keeping aside all the dressing innuendos.
