A stationery shop on Kanakapura Road was partially damaged and goods worth around six lakh were destroyed after a speeding SUV rammed into it in the early hours of Saturday.
The police said that no one was injured in the incident since the shop was closed. Based on the complaint by the shop owner, the Banashankari police have registered a case against the SUV driver.
In a separate incident, traffic on the Nelamangala highway was disrupted for over two hours when a goods truck overturned in a bid to overtake on Saturday.
The police facilitated the traffic to pass through and arranged for a crane to pull out the truck to the roadside.
