Tadasha Mishra appointed acting DGP of Jharkhand

Ranchi: The state government on Thursday appointed Tadasha Mishra, an IPS officer of the 1994 batch, as the acting Director General of Police (DGP) of Jharkhand. A notification to this effect was issued by the Home, Prison, and Disaster Management Department on Thursday late in the evening.Mishra was posted as special secretary in the same department.Notably, the outgoing DGP, Anurag Gupta, submitted an application for voluntary retirement. The state govt accepted his request with effect from Thursday, adding that he would be eligible for all permissible benefits after retirement. It may be stated here that information regarding Gupta’s resignation was circulating for the past two days. The officials, however, confirmed the development only on Thursday late in the evening.
