In an interview with Lallantop, Tamannaah shared how everyone started to associate her with a "bigger body size" when her hit songs 'Kaavaalaa' and 'Aaj Ki Raat' were released. The actress shared that around the time the song from 'Stree 2' came out, she was being praised for "promoting body positivity" and for having a "very desirable and likeable body."Talking about the phase when the song from the Rajinikanth starrer was dropped, people thought she fell into the category of "bigger body size."
The actress then shared what she felt about herself. She said, "But according to me, I was very slender."
Tamannaah shares getting labelled as 'fat'
In the same interview, Tamannaah mentioned one fan interaction that totally changed her perspective. The actress recalled a woman in the party who came to her talking about the song from 'Stree 2.' Tamannaah shared, "She said that women like her feel recognised because I was also so curvy, and she was also curvy, so they felt good after watching me in 'Aaj Ki Raat.'"
The actress revealed that the person used the word "fat" during the conversation, adding, "But I didn’t think I was fat until then. It gave me perspective of what people thought about me."

The actress went on to reveal that the song got popular among little kids as well. She shared that a lot of mothers called her saying that their child would not eat if he didn't get to listen to 'Aaj Ki Raat.' Commenting on it further, Tamannaah shared, "Ek aadh saal mein unko kaunse lyrics samajhh me aayenge? The mother’s concern is to feed her child. That is her priority, so be it."

Tamanaah's next projects
The actress will next feature in 'Vvan: Force of The Forest,' co-starring Sidharth Malhotra. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in May 2026. Reportedly, she is also set to feature in Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt's untitled project.
