Tamil Nadu government extends tenure of social justice monitoring committee by two years

The State government has recently extended, by two more years, the tenure of a committee to monitor the implementation of affirmative action in education and employment. Constituted in December 2021, the panel - social justice monitoring committee - was given the extension in November 2023. The second extension, for another two years, was provided through an order issued in the first week of January. The committee, headed by Suba Veerapandian, includes Swaminathan Devadoss, Manushyaputhiran, Shanthi Ravindranath and K. Karunanidhi.
