Former Bihar Minister Tej Pratap Yadav on Sunday (June 1, 2025) broke his silence a week after his expulsion from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) by his father and party chief Lalu Prasad.

Without naming anyone, Mr. Yadav in a social media post on X said some people had hatched a conspiracy to separate him from Tejashwi Yadav, his younger brother and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly.

Comparing himself to Lord Krishna and his younger brother to Arjuna, Mr. Tej Yadav asserted that he would soon expose those playing the role of Jaichand (betrayer).

Mr. Prasad had on May 25 expelled his elder son from the party for six years and snapped all family ties with him, stating that his actions were “irresponsible” and not in accordance with public conduct.

“My dear mom and dad, my whole world is just you two. You and your orders are greater than God. If you are there, I have everything. I only need your trust and love and nothing else,” Mr. Tej Yadav posted at 5:27 a.m., while blaming a few greedy people of “playing politics” with him.

“Papa, if you had not been there, this party would not have been there and neither would there be some greedy people like Jaichand who played politics with me. Mom and dad, may you both always be healthy and happy.”

Sources said Mr. Prasad took action against his son after pictures of his remarriage were posted on his Facebook account. He later deleted that post claiming that his account was hacked.

Later in the afternoon, Mr. Tej Yadav posted another message with an attacking tone.

“Those who dream of separating me from my Arjun, you will never be successful in your conspiracies. You can take Krishna’s army but not Krishna himself. I will expose every conspiracy soon. Just have faith my brother, I am with you in every situation. I am away right now but my blessings were and will always be with you. My brother, take care of mom and dad, Jaichand is everywhere, inside as well as outside,” Mr. Tej Yadav said.

In May 2018, Mr. Tej Yadav married Aishwarya Rai, the granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Prasad Rai but filed for divorce five months later. Ms. Rai termed Sunday’s posts “drama” keeping in mind the forthcoming Assembly election.
