HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has dismissed a petition challenging the allocation of sand quarry areas in Wadagudem village, Mangapet Mandal of Mulugu district. The petition was filed by Pagidididha Raju Sammakka Sarakkka Sand Quarry LCCS Ltd.

The petitioner had sought to invalidate the April 4, 2025, order of the District Collector, which allocating quarries to Nalla Pochamma Thalli Girijana Isuka Quarry Labour Contractor Mutually Aided Co-op Society, represented by its president, Madi Rashmitha and their subsequent agreement with the TSMDC.The petitioner alleged irregularities in the society’s registration and further contended that the mandatory Grama Sabha before registering the sand society, as required by a July 2022 government circular was also not held. However, after reviewing the case and hearing both sides, the court found no legal violations and upheld the allocation, dismissing the petition.
