Telangana has outlined a ₹2,950 crore tourism project with a wellness centre, luxury resorts, forest-view villas, luxury tented accommodations, and a 130-room five-star hotel at Ananthagiri in Vikarabad district.
Managing Director of Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) Valluru Kranthi made this proposal at the two-day State tourism ministers’ meet on October 14 and 15 in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
The Ministry of Tourism had convened a meeting of tourism ministers and senior officials from all States and Union Territories to discuss strategies for boosting tourism across the country.
The Telangana initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities for approximately 2,500 local youth. The development will be driven by private-sector participation under a Production-Linked Incentive (PLI)-based Destination Maturity Model, aimed at enhancing destination management and fostering sustainable growth in the region, Ms. Kranthi shared during the meeting.
