Telangana Weather September 1 | Heavy rain likely in seven districts

Seven districts in Telangana are likely to receive heavy rainfall on Monday (September 1, 2025). Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are very likely at isolated places in all districts, according to the India Meteorological Department’s bulletin issued on Sunday (August 31, 2025) afternoon.

The seven districts under heavy rain alert are Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem. 

In Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, light to moderate Rain or thundershowers are very likely in the next 48 hours, according to the bulletin.

Though the State received rain on Sunday (August 31, 2205), the highest was only 34.3 mm in Ashwapuram of Bhadradri Kotthagudem.
