Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov announced that he will bequeath his entire fortune- valued at $13.9 billion according to Bloomberg- to more than 100 children he claims as his own. In an interview with Le Point magazine, the 40-year-old billionaire said these children include both those conceived naturally and the many born through sperm donations he has made over the last 15 years.

“I make no difference between my children: there are those who were conceived naturally and those who come from my sperm donations," Pavel Durov said, adding, “They are all my children and will all have the same rights."

While confirming that he is the biological father of six children with three different partners, Pavel Durov said the rest were conceived through voluntary donations. Despite the promised inheritance, he clarified that none of his children will have access to the money for the next 30 years.

He said, “I wrote my will very recently. I decided that my children would not have access to my fortune until a period of thirty years has elapsed, starting from today."

Widely regarded as one of the tech world’s most enigmatic figures, Pavel Durov is known for founding Telegram, the privacy-focused messaging platform with over a billion users and for leading a disciplined lifestyle- reportedly doing 300 push-ups and 300 squats daily while avoiding alcohol, coffee and tea.

However, Pavel Durov has faced legal challenges as last year French authorities charged him with complicity in crimes allegedly enabled via Telegram, charges he has denied.
