These are deepfakes created without my knowledge or consent.”

She also requested people to stay cautious and avoid acting on such content. “Please do not make any financial decisions based on these fraudulent videos. Stay vigilant and stay safe. Jai Hind!”

What the fake videos are saying

In the video, Murty explained that several such clips are being shared widely, mainly on Facebook. In these videos, she appears to ask viewers to invest “200 dollars or 20,000 rupees.”

The clips promise high returns and sometimes claim that the amount can grow “ten times more.”She clearly stated that these videos are fake. “These videos are not real,” she said, adding that they were created using AI without her permission.

Real impact on people

Murty also spoke about the damage already caused by these videos. She said that people she knows have trusted these clips and ended up losing money. “Many people I know have invested and lost money,” she said, underlining how convincing such fake videos can be.
