Elon Musk wrote that Trump's election victory would not have been possible without him. He even called out Trump for showing “ingratitude”. His statement followed recent remarks from President Trump where he said he is very disappointed with Elon Musk for his continuous criticism of the Trump administration's "One Big Beautiful Bill". Elon Musk's remarks came in a post on X (formerly Twitter), which included a video in which Trump is seen saying that he would “have won Pennsylvania regardless of Elon” and that he was “very disappointed with Elon.”

Musk replied to the video, saying that Trump would have lost the election and Democrats would control the house if he was not involved.
“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk added.Within approximately 45 minutes, his post amassed over one million views, becoming one of the most read tweets that Musk has posted on Donald Trump. The tweet reached close to 2 million views in an hour. (See image below).

In the video, Trump also said that Musk knew about “this bill better than anyone”, referring to Tesla CEO’s comment that the bill was never shown to him ‘even once’ and was passed in the dead of night.Trump went on to say that Musk “only developed a problem when he found out I would cut the EV mandate…”“When he left he said the most beautiful things about me, he hasn’t said anything bad yet but I’m sure that will be next…I’ve helped Elon a lot…” Trump added.“Elon worked hard at DOGE and I think he misses the place…I think he got out there and he’s no longer in this beautiful Oval Office…it’s not just Elon, I think when some people leave they miss it so badly they develop a type of TDS…some embrace it and some become hostile,” he noted.
