Investigators probing the car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi have recovered three 9mm-caliber cartridges from the spot, Delhi Police sources told news agency ANI. Of the three, two were live rounds while one was an empty shell, it was known.
According to officials, the ammunition is prohibited for civilian use and typically restricted to security forces or individuals with special authorisation.
The recovery of these cartridges has raised further questions for the investigative team, which is now trying to establish how the rounds reached the blast site and whether they are linked to those behind the explosion.
The probe is ongoing, with police analysing all materials recovered from the scene.
