Three-day international conference on interdisciplinary sciences at Newman College

Newman College, Thodupuzha, will host a three-day international conference on “Advances in Interdisciplinary Sciences and Technology” from Friday to Sunday.

A. Ajayaghosh, S.S. Bhatnagar Chair at SRM Institute of Science and Technology and former Director of CSIR-National Institute For Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) Thiruvananthapuram, will be the chief guest and keynote speaker. Sabu Thomas, chairperson of the Trivandrum Engineering Science & Technology Research Park and former Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, will lead a session titled “How to write a high-impact publication.”

The gathering will feature 15 invited speakers from nine countries. Additionally, more than 100 delegates will participate in oral presentations, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and fostering innovation across scientific disciplines.

“The convergence of researchers, academicians, and students from around the world is expected to create valuable opportunities for networking and collaborative research initiatives,” an official said.

The conference is supported by several prominent organisations, including the Government of India’s Department of Biotechnology, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, National Academy of Sciences India (Kerala Chapter), American Chemical Society, and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
