Over 70 school boards in the country, comprising State, Central and International boards, will participate in a three-day annual conference here starting October 29 to deliberate on the ‘future of education’.
The 54th edition of the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) conference, to be held at the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) - Centre of Excellence, Habsiguda, will discuss reforms, best practices, innovation and collaborations needed in the education sector.
Delegates ranging from chairpersons of school boards and policy experts, to representatives from international affiliates such as Cambridge and the International Baccalaureate (IB) will be present to share knowledge on assessment reforms, quality assurance, skill education and digital learning ecosystems. The sessions will be led by experts from NCERT, NCVET, CISCE, CBSE and NIEPA.
COBSE president and CISCE chairman G. Immanuel said: “This conference reinforces the collective spirit of India’s school education ecosystem. When school boards collaborate, they create a shared momentum for reform that shapes the nation’s learning future. The ideas emerging from Hyderabad will have a lasting impact on educational quality and equity.”
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Secretary (Department of School Education & Literacy) Sanjay Kumar, Secretary (School Education-Telangana) Yogitha Rana will take part in the event.
