Tigress Thayamma in critical condition

The health condition of Thayamma, a tigress at Mysuru zoo, is critical.

Aged about four years and 10 months, she was rescued from Bandipur on March 28, 2021, and has since been under the care of the zoo.

Recently, the wild cat stopped consuming food and was found to be suffering from the haemoprotozoan infection. Veterinarians at the zoo have been providing treatment continuously. However, Thayamma’s condition remains serious, and there has been no significant improvement in her health condition so far, stated a press release from the zoo.
