On Saturday, September 13, 2025, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft made news by bidding $900,000 to go golfing with Tom Brady. The auction happened at the REFORM Alliance Casino Night & Gala at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

More than $20 million was generated by the charity event for criminal justice reform. Celebrities like Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, Travis Scott, Odell Beckham Jr., and Kevin Hart were in attendance. Brady, who attended the gala on Zoom, assisted to elevate the auction even further when another guest equal Kraft's bid, bringing the overall value to $1.8 million.

Robert Kraft and Tom Brady’s golf auction creates buzz

The golf prize was a day at Michael Jordan’s exclusive Grove XXIII golf course in Florida.

Robert Kraft, who has six Super Bowl wins with Tom Brady during their time together in New England, wanted to be part of it and quickly placed the first bid at $900,000. Another bidder matched his amount, and Tom Brady decided both could win. That meant the auction ended with two winners and $1.8 million going to the cause.

Other items also drew huge money. A private Megan Thee Stallion concert sold for $600,000. A George Condo painting went for $3.4 million, purchased by Michael Rubin.

A special Audemars Piguet watch made for Jay-Z was also auctioned. The night also featured a blackjack tournament, where Indiana Pacers forward Tyrese Haliburton reached the semifinals. Music star The Weeknd performed a 40-minute set for the crowd.Tom Brady, smiling on screen during the gala, said:“If it’s for a good cause, I’m always in.”

The REFORM Alliance Casino Night & Gala was hosted by co-founders Jay-Z, Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, and Robert Kraft.

The group created REFORM in 2019 to push for changes in probation and parole laws across the United States. Guests enjoyed a formal dinner, the live auction, and the star-studded performances.According to REFORM Alliance:“The millions raised will support our ‘Work Matters’ program, which gives people with criminal records real chances at jobs and a better future.”By the end of the night, the charity confirmed that more than $20 million had been raised, making it one of their most successful fundraising events to date.
