Several automakers have quickly responded to the new GST framework and the removal of the additional Cess by revising their prices in line with the updated tax regime. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that it will transfer the full benefit of this tax relief to customers, with price drops reaching up to Rs 3.49 lakh, depending on the variant.
The updated pricing will take effect from September 22, 2025, coinciding with the rollout of the revised GST rates.The company has outlined reductions across its entire portfolio. Among the models, the Toyota Fortuner and Fortuner Legender receive the steepest cuts, followed by the Innova Hycross and Innova Crysta. Premium offerings like the Toyota Camry and Vellfire have also become significantly more affordable under the new pricing structure.The Toyota Glanza sees its tax rate drop from 29% to 18%, translating to benefits of up to Rs 85,300, while the Toyota Taisor also moves from 29% to 18%, with savings of up to Rs 1.11 lakh. The Toyota Rumion’s rate falls from 45% to 40%, offering up to Rs 48,700 in benefits, and the Toyota Hyryder gets a similar cut, resulting in up to Rs 65,400 in savings.
The Toyota Innova Crysta now attracts 40% GST instead of 50%, reducing prices by up to Rs 1.81 lakh, whereas the Innova Hycross benefits by up to Rs 1.16 lakh with the same tax revision.
The Toyota Fortuner enjoys the biggest reduction, with its rate lowered from 50% to 40%, making it cheaper by up to Rs 3.49 lakh, while the Fortuner Legender follows closely with a benefit of up to Rs 3.34 lakh. The Toyota Hilux also gets a notable cut of up to Rs 2.53 lakh.
Among the premium models, the Toyota Camry now comes with benefits of up to Rs 1.02 lakh, and the Toyota Vellfire sees one of the steepest reductions, amounting to as much as Rs 2.78 lakh.
