Tragic Flood Incident in Chatra: One Missing After Kadhaiya River Sweeps Away Two Men

Chatra: Two persons got washed away in the strong current of water due to flood in Kadhaiya river within the limits of Tandwa police station area in Chatra on Sunday evening. One of them was saved and one is still missing.

Chando Ram, a resident of Kadhaiya, was washing his bike with the river water along with his brother-in-law Sanju Das, a resident of Sindhani village of Pathalgadda police station area, when their bike started getting washed away due to sudden flooding in the area. Both of them tried to save the bike when they were swept away in the river. Villagers somehow managed to get hold of Chando and rushed him to the health centre in an unconscious state, while Sanju was not traceable. Police have launched a search operation.
