The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) management has warned the contract workers of dire consequences if they intend to affect the services rendered to the devotees.

While appreciating the contract workers in the medical, health and sanitation departments for rendering yeoman service, the management has warned of imposing Essential Services Management Act (ESMA) if they proceed to disrupt the services.

The warning comes in the wake of the strike notice served by the contract workers, who have been demanding resolution of their pending demands.

The management held talks with the workers on Wednesday (July 2, 2025), but no conclusive solution was arrived at the meeting.

While maintaining that the management was ready to address the genuine issues raised by the workers, the TTD warned that any step that impeded the working of the temple machinery would be seriously dealt with.

In a press release, the TTD warned the “external forces,” indirectly referring to the trade unions owing allegiance to political parties, to keep away from meddling with the temple management, and not unduly influence the workers to obstruct the smooth running of the administration.
