The mystery surrounding the death of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma deepened further on Monday after her mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh, claimed that her daughter-in-law had consumed abortion pills despite repeated objections from the family.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, Giribala Singh said Twisha had informed her husband, Bhopal-based lawyer Samarth Singh, over the phone that she had taken a Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) pill while he was attending court proceedings.
