Parvatipuram-Manyam Superintendent of Police S.V. Madhava Reddy said that two persons with vested interests had made false allegations of sexual harassment and other charges against Minister for Tribal Welfare Gummadi Sandhya Rani’s son Prudhvi and the Minister’s personal assistant Sathish.
Addressing the media here on Tuesday (23 December, 2025), the SP said that Saluru police personnel arrested Boora Triveni (subordinate in Saluru MPDO office) and her friend Devi Prasad (Junior Assistant in Saluru Municipal Office) on the charges of creating fake screenshots of social media account to defame the Minister’s family as well as the government. He said that they were arrested after receiving the forensic report which confirmed the fake chats and screenshots.
According to the SP, Ms. Triveni, who had secured a job on compassionate grounds, gave ₹5 lakh to Mr. Satish four years ago after he promised her a good post. At the time of the transaction, he was not the PA to Ms. Gummadi Sandhya Rani, who herself was not a minister. However, when Mr. Satish failed to return the amount despite repeated requests, Ms. Triveni developed a grudge against him.
Ms. Triveni filed a case at the Saluru police station in November, alleging that Mr. Satish had sexually harassed her and claimed that the Minister’s son, Prudhvi, had sent her objectionable messages on WhatsApp. Due to pressure from all sections of society, Mr. Satish resigned from his post and, on November 27, 2025, filed a case at the Saluru police station asserting that the allegations were false.
The police sent the chat and screenshots to the Mangalagiri Forensic Department, which, in its report, stated that the chat and phone numbers did not match. Mr. Madhava Reddy said that the department had taken adequate care and conducted a thorough inquiry before arresting Ms. Triveni and her friend Devi Prasad.
“We filed cases on the two persons under various sections for damaging the reputation of the Minister’s family and the government. Further inquiry will continue to identify the motive,” said Mr. Madhava Reddy.
Additional Superintendent of Police V. Maneesha Reddy and Circle Inspector of Saluru town Appala Naidu were also present in the media conference.
